Carz targets growth in Tier 1 and 2 cities, expands in Andhra Pradesh

New franchisee-owned-and-operated facility in Anantapur has 10 service bays and can handle over 300 cars a month.

India, with has been consistently seeing passenger vehicle sales of over 3 million units a year, is seeing its overall car parc grows rapidly with millions of cars out of warranty looking for affordable serving platforms.

Aiming to cater to passenger car owners in Tier 1 and 2 cities, multi-brand car repair and maintenance services company Carz has opened its first Franchisee Owned Franchise Operated (FOFO) fully automated centre in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. Set up under a franchise partnership with K S Enterprises, the facility is spread across 20,000 square feet and has 10 service bays with servicing capability of over 300 cars a month.

The centre is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and can carry out routine and preventive maintenance, electrical and mechanical repair, suspension system, AC diagnostics and service, tyres and services, battery, styling and performance accessories, interior and exterior detailing and automated car wash, among other services. There is also an in-house accident repair facility with the latest collision repair system and paint booth. The centre will also offer value-added services like 24x7 roadside assistance, pre-owned car inspection, insurance, extended warranty and easy EMI payments. 

CarZ, which is one of the fastest growing multi-brand networks in India, currently operates a network of 27 centres across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Gujarat. The company says it has aggressive growth plans to spread its network through the FOFO model in towns and cities in North and East India. CarZ will provide the service expertise and train the workforce on quality service, on-time delivery, procurement of quality and innovative service products and also customer care support.
